MERCER COUNTY -- The Lilly family reunion began yesterday but the party hasn't stopped. The reunion turned 85 years this year and for some attendee's they believe that this is still the world's largest family reunion. In 2009, the reunion achieved that record when there were over 2,000 people in attendance. But even with rain in the forecast, attendee's come from far and wide to be a part of the celebration.

Harold D Lilly, of Portsmouth Ohio, says “they're the world's largest family reunion and we are everywhere all over the US and overseas too.”

Darren Lilly, the Lilly Reunion President, says “it's not all Lilly’s, it's called the Lilly reunion everyone out there is invited to come, you don't have to be a Lilly to be here but if you come we'll make you a Lilly for a day.”

The reunion began on Friday and ends Sunday night's party.
