PRINCETON- A bomb threat shutdown the Mercer County Courthouse Wednesday in Princeton.
Police shut down the perimeter of both the Mercer County Courthouse and annex Wednesday morning from nine till 11:30 am following a letter left at the building contained a bomb threat. Police and bomb dogs searched both buildings and concluded that both structures were safe. The sheriffs office has a person of interest but is not revealing names after surveillance shows a man dropping off a letter at the courthouse.
"We've had the bomb dogs through there and we're satisfied there's no bomb in there but my concern was is it an inside that or is it a threat to have something outside," said Mercer County Sheriff Don Meadows.
The Mercer County Courthouse is set to re-open Thursday morning at their normal business hours.
