BECKLEY- While Fayette County school faculty members still have a few more days off before they're back in the classroom, they're spending it at a leadership conference at Tamarack.

Faculty members met for the second day of the district's meetings Tuesday in Beckley. The conference is for teaching staff and administration members. Their goal is enhancing interaction with parents, students and fellow workers. The conference is held annually and helps attendees network within the county.

"Well when you're in our buildings, often, we are isolated from other colleagues and this is an opportunity for us to network and to put heads together and come up with lots of ideas to make a successful school year," said Melissa Harrah.

Harrah says the leadership conference is helpful in providing administration the proper skills needed to succeed.
