The West Virginia Department of Agriculture has plans to conduct a black fly suppression treatment Monday.

The aerial treatments for biological suppression will be conducted between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., weather permitting.
This will include areas of the New, Bluestone, and Greenbrier rivers.

Black flies can cause itching and irritation. Biologists said they aim to significantly reduce their population between March and October.
