ARNETT - Construction on a new Raleigh County volunteer fire department is moving forward this week.
Concrete work is complete and tin sheets are being installed at the new fire house for the Coal River Volunteer Fire Department.
The building will be 7,000 square feet, with four bay doors that are two trucks deep.
The construction, done by a Bolt company, began in May thanks to funds from the voter-approved fire levy.
Firefighters said they're excited about the progress, and that the community should be, too.
