Man behind bars for allegedly stabbing 16-year-old during argument

MOSSY - A Fayette County man is behind bars Sunday after deputies say he stabbed a 16-year-old boy during an argument late Saturday night. 

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Nathan Scott Toney, 41, of Mossy. He is a charged with felony malicious wounding and currently lodged in Southern Regional Jail on $25,000 bond, according to online jail records.

Fayette County deputies answered a domestic violence call at the Mossy-Milburn Road home around 11:15 p.m. 
Deputies told WOAY that a 16-year-old boy sustained a single stab would to the back and is listed in stable condition at Raleigh General Hospital.

Toney quickly fled the scene, but was arrested shortly after without incident near the Exxon station in Mossy, according to deputies. The relationship between the pair is not known at this time.
