Oak Hill man behind bars following drug search

OAK HILL - An Oak Hill man is behind bars on felony drug offenses after authorities reportedly found prescription pills and thousands in cash at his home.

Curtis Lynn Treadway, 54, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said officers with from the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force as well as detectives from the Raleigh County Drug Task Force made a controlled buy Thursday night of a large quantity of Roxycodone pills from the residence on White Oak Fork Road.

Investigators searched the home and seized a some Roxycodone pills and several firearms, according to Kessler. They also reportedly seized more than $17,000 dollars in cash, including the money previously used for the controlled purchase.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about drug trafficking in the area is urged to call the Central West Virginia Drug Task Force at 304-574-4216.
