BEAVER- A fire department in Raleigh County wants to help locals obtain a concealed carry permit license.
The Beaver Fire Department hosted the class. More than 20 people attended to learn more about concealed weapons. A $50 fee was due at the beginning of the program. Bob McComas was the instructor. He went over a variety of scenarios before letting the participants practice shooting.
"It helps to preserve your right to bare arms which is a right we should try to preserve and do. Also, you can legally carry open in our state but i f you want to conceal it or carry it in your car concealed, you would need this permit to do that," said Erica Bradley.
Classes such as the one today take place periodically throughout the state.
