BLUEFIELD- Horse riders from all over the east coast are in Bluefield this weekend to take part in the 46th annual Blue-Gray Horse Show.
The show is takes place at the Bluefield City Park. It's a three-day event which got underway Thursday and resumes Friday night. There will be a petting zoo for kids and live shows taking place. 55 horses took part in the event Thursday night. The Bluefield Shrine Club hosts the event. The show's co-chairman discusses what makes it unique.
"Special for us is showing our area off. This is one of the very few rings that is still open and it sits here in these mountains. A lot of exhibitors love it. They love this area, our town and community, it builds it up a whole lot," said Wayne Barth.
