BECKLEY- A local tourist destination is selling fresh produce to guests on their way in or out of the state.
Tamarack hosts a famers market each Sunday during the summer from 11:30 until 3:30. They sell a solid variety of fresh produce and encourage locals to stop by and purchase their cheaper-priced goods. A tough winter meant no blackberries this year. The local vendors say they have a quality selection and are getting ready for their busy season.
"Our big time is normally starting at the end of july through august. We have the beans, the corn, we have some good sweet corn and there is usually three vendors here," said James W. Ratliff.
Ratliff encourages locals to visit the tamarack farmers market as well as check out local places with fresh produce in the area.
