DANIELS - Golf fans still reveling in the Greenbrier Classic have another chance to watch the pros in southern West Virginia.
The 81st West Virginia Open will begin in two weeks with a Pro-Am on Monday July 21, practice rounds and the Coca-Cola Shootout on Tuesday and the first round slated for Wednesday.
The game will be played on The Cobb, which is one of three courses at Glade Springs Resort in Daniels.
Golf Pro Kyle Long told Newswatch he's happy with the tournament's timing. He hopes non-believers will see the excitement in the sport.
"Try it one time," Long told WOAY. "You'll get hooked quick. It might be boring for some people to watch on TV, but once you're out here, you'll enjoy it."
Tournament organizers encourage fans and spectators through Friday. Tickets for the Open are not necessary.
