LEWISBURG – Lewisburg Police arrested a Fayette County man on a felony narcotics charge.

John Dillon Syner, 21, of Winona is charged with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine lab.

Chief Tim Stover said officers were called to a local convenience store to investigate a shoplifting complaint when they discovered stolen items in two backpacks Syner was carrying. Stover said items such as drain cleaner, plastic tubing and two jars with a liquid substance were located. These items can be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

State Police technicians were called to process the scene, according to Stover.

Syner is in Southern Regional Jail on $6,500 bond.
