Four high schoolers are getting ready to make the long trip to Wyoming for the High School Rodeo Nationals.
The four qualified based on their point totals during the season. Their junior high counterparts competed in the Junior High Nationals in Iowa earlier in the year. The trip is expected to take more than 28 hours with a few pit stops along the way. The four have prepared all year and are ready to show off what they're capable of.
"Since this is the second largest rodeo in the world, there is going to be a lot of tough competition, everyone is going to be running fast, running hard but we can handle it," said Emily Parent.
The National High School Rodeo Finals take place in Rock Springs, Wyoming from July 13th until the 19th.
