FAYETTEVILLE - A repeat drug offender pled guilty on Monday in Fayette County Circuit Court to his felony charge.
34 year old Jaqawn Coy of Oak Hill pled guilty to one count of distributing a controlled substance after he sold cocaine to an informant back in October of 2013. Coy was originally charged with 3 counts of distribution, and Fayette County Circuit Judge Paul Blake accepted a guilty plea to one. Coy had a previous felony conviction on his record for similar charges. Due of this, his sentence could potentially be doubled making it anywhere from 1 to 30 years of jail time. Coy is scheduled to be sentenced on September 4th. Coy is being held on home confinement until his sentencing date.
