A local baptist church is celebrating its 110th anniversary today with friends and family.
The First Baptist Church of Greentown holds a reunion every year where people from all over the country flock to Oak Hill. They hold two services and have a big dinner. The church brings in a visiting minister to speak. Attendees at the event say it's a celebration and a great opportunity to see family and friends they haven't seen in a while.
"It's just important to keep that tradition going and we just feel it's good seeing one another. Many have passed on but their children, grandchildren, i have grandchildren and great grandchildren and they come back home and it's home" said Robert Toles.
Toles says about 100 people came out today.
