ALDERSON - A town in Greenbrier County prides itself on being home to the biggest Fourth of July festivities in the state.
The Fourth of July parade in Alderson is always a huge hit and draws people from all over the state. A lengthy parade shows off the organizations and agencies that make up Greenbrier County and surrounding areas. Politicians, law enforcement, local businesses and more drove by on floats, throwing candy to children. The town of Alderson hosted vendors and local artists for the community to enjoy.
Newswatch spoke to children about their favorite part of the parade; most of which were attending for the candy.
Parents said attending the parade is a family tradition that their children look forward to every year.
