BECKLEY – Three Veteran’s Affairs facilities in West Virginia are the target of Secretary of State Natalie Tennant.
Tennant toured the VA hospital in Beckley Wednesday amid the fallout from the scandal on wait times and patient care in centers across the country.
Tennant has demanded answers from federal officials regarding the scandal hoping it will improve facilities in the Mountain State.
She met with administrators and veterans to learn what's being done in West Virgina, and she can connect with them on a personal level.
“It's like my family, and I can only imagine if my family members had to wait, or didn't get the care they deserve because there was a system breakdown, and we're not up with the 21st century,” says Tennant.
Tennant visited the Martinsburg VA on Tuesday and stopped at the Beckley and Huntington facilities Wednesday afternoon.
