Greenbrier County welcomes new judge

LEWSIBURG - A new member of the judiciary for Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties was inducted on Tuesday at an official ceremony for community members and legislators.

Robert Richardson was inducted to the Greenbrier County Courthouse on Tuesday as a judge for Greenbrier and Pocahontas Counties. Governor Earl Ray Tomblin has granted this position to Richardson as Senior Judge Joseph C. Pomponio prepares to retire. Having already assisted many community members in legal issues, the large crowd welcomed Richardson with open arms.

"I've had numerous opportunities to speak to him. I think he'll do a fine job for Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties and the government made a fine choice," said Pomponio

Community members welcomed Richardson to the bench as he prepares to being his tenure.
