UPDATE: Missing McDowell Co. teens found

COALWOOD - The missing teens were found, according to the McDowell County Sheriff's Office.

COALWOOD - The McDowell County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for two missing teenagers.

Abby Hicks, 14, of the Coalwood area and Cody Clendenin, 16, of the Paynesville area were last seen at 5:30 p.m. Monday near Mount Airy Baptist Church in Coalwood along Route 16, according to Sheriff Martin West.

West said Hicks is 5’08” and weighs 150 pounds with medium length dark brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a black v-neck shirt, blue jeans and hot pink shoes. Clendenin is 5’11” and weighs 160 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue dc shirt, blue jeans and yellow dc shoes.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of these teens is asked to call 911 or the Sheriff's Office at 304-436-8523.
