Fayette County is updating their emergency response protocols.
Theresa White of the Fayette County Emergency Management Center updated the Fayette County Commission this morning on the progress of the protocols. They have been working on new solutions for the past two months. This year's programs include emergency responses for landslides, hazardous material release, water contamination and school and workplace violence.
"We actually take the existing plans and look at them and look at the kind of short fall that there is through past tests that we've done and different exercises and then we work towards a new exercise to test the ability and capabilities of all the response agencies" said White.
White says the Emergency Management Center does this each year.
