PRINCETON – A Bluefield man who allegedly used his magic religion as an excuse to sexually assault children has his trial date set.
James Irvin, 57, faces multiple charges of sexual assault and sexual abuse and he will go on trial July 22 in front of Judge William Sadler.
Police say Irvin claimed to be practicing a "pagan wiccan religion" and used his powers to lure victims into committing lewd acts.
Irvin remains in Southern Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
