The Youth Museum of Southern West Virginia is excited to host its amazing art camp beginning tomorrow.
It lasts one week. It's for children ages six to 12. Organizers say they'll learn how to be creative and have fun at the same time. Kids attending the camp will go on a special trip and get advice from a New York City artist. A feature of the camp will be the kids learning how to make art out of recycled objects.
"There's some special things that are going to be going on. Not only do they have there everyday activities planned but we have a special artist coming in from new york city, sir Michael Albert. He's known for his big cereal box collages. He believes in using recycled materials to make are with and he's going to spend a day with the kids teaching them his techniques" said Leslie Baker.
This week's camp is filled to capacity but baker wants people to know that the museum will have other camps during the summer.
