LANSING - A West Virginia leadership group focused their Friday meeting on tourism in the Mountain State.

Leadership West Virginia is a combined group of 55 people who work in all fields and have a variety of specialties, and the one thing they have in common is they want to make this state better. Executive Director of Leadership West Virginia Pam Farris said Friday's group focus was tourism. The beauty of the Mountain State attracts people from all over the world and the group planned to explore and channel this industry to better the entire state.

"Today were hearing from the experts, to talk about the importance of tourism in WV. The economic play that tourism has in the state and maybe how we can continue to promote it," said, Farris.

The leadership group invited other West Virginians to get involved in these efforts to improve the state.
