FAYETTEVILLE - A group of aspiring actors and actresses take the stage in Fayette County throughout this week's summer camp.
Fayetteville’s Historic Fayette Theater is holding a camp this week for a group of 11 - 16 year olds who have a flare for the arts. Camp Directors said these kids have been working well together and using their imagination to make each portion of the camp into a great experience. Singing, acting and creativity have been the main focus for campers as they prepare to perform on the camp's final day. Director Shari Davis said the kids are making friendships at the camp as they expand their artistic talents.
"To get them up there with other kids their age and show each other it's ok, you're going to mess up, you're going to say something wrong but I think when they're all there together, they're all in this world together this little Tweens and teenagers. They're doing a great great job. They're getting along great and were just having a really good time today,” said Davis.
This group's matinee will be at the end of the camp's session on Sunday at 3 PM. Another program for a younger age group will be held August 7-10.
