ANSTED – Fayette County is getting ready for a tradition this weekend that will bring folks from all over.
The Hometown Mountain Heritage Festival kicks off Thursday in Ansted at the United Bank starting at 6:30 p.m. The festivities continue through Sunday.
There will be a flea market, awards, music, vendors, and food. Headliner concerts on Saturday include Matt Brewster at 7 p.m. and Taylor Made at 8 p.m.
Sunday will have gospel music and prizes.
Organizer Brenda Taylor says there's something for the whole family.
“We do things in the community all the time, when you ask them what they want to see or what they want to do? Festival. They want to be here for the festival.”
Remember to bring a chair for the concerts, and maybe and umbrella for shade.
