Raleigh County Commissioner Pat Reed to Step Down

A Raleigh County Commissioner is stepping down from her seat.

Commissioner Pat Reed is planning on resigning from her role in the Raleigh County Commission. She announced her intentions to fellow commissioners last Tuesday that she is taking a state position in Charleston. She has yet to make her resignation official. Commissioner Dave Tolliver discusses the process that will take place once Reed makes her resignation official.

"As soon as we get a date from her, then we we'll appoint someone within 30 days to fill her slot until the end of the year" said Tolliver.

Once Reed steps down, her spot will be filled by a democrat in her district.
