Authorities searching for man who abducted, bound and sexually assaulted woman

OAK HILL - Authorities in Fayette County are looking for a man they believe abducted, bound and sexually assaulted a woman Saturday evening on a popular running trail.







The Oak Hill Police Department and Fayette County Sheriffs Office are utilizing a bloodhound K9 team to find the man or locate any physical evidence. 







Authorities told WOAY the suspect abducted a 48-year-old women who was jogging on the rail trail around 6 p.m. She told EMS that the man was hiding in the brush when he drug her out, stripped off her clothes, tied her down with tape and rope and then sexually assaulted her. 







The victim also said he also threatened to kill her if she left the scene.







Reports indicate he may smoke cigarettes and be right handed, according to deputies







He has dark eyes and blue-ink tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a flannel brown shirt, brown leather boots, a brown leather belt and gloves.



"We have a really good description of this suspect, Capt. Jim Sizemore told WOAY. "Our victim was really detailed in describing him, and I feel pretty hopeful that somebody knows who this is."







Evidence collected at the scene indicates the suspect may be employed in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry.  He may be armed with a knife, authorities said.
