More than 40 golfers are hit the links Sunday afternoon to raise money for a cause.
The golf tournament is raising money to help send local kids to Rome and Poland for World Youth Day in 2016. The trip will cost $5,000 per person. One of the perks of the trip will be the opportunity to meet the pope. Tournament organizer Linn Sheik says Raleigh County will be well represented on the trip.
"Well from this area, we have 20 going. Of course for this tournament, it represents every high school in Raleigh County and several of the middle schools" said Sheik.
The tournament had sponsors for each of their holes.
