If you like to fish, this is the weekend to do it.
The Division of Natural Resources is allowing free fishing this weekend for West Virginia residents and non-residents alike. It's part of National Fishing and Boating Week. Anglers don't need a license to fish around the state and those with license's are encouraged to bring friends and family that don't get out to the water. Locals were caught fishing at little beaver state park this afternoon.
"Our son wanted to come and everything and with this work, we don't get out much so it's a free opportunity when you got to work, bring the kids out and do some fishing. It's a great day to spend time with the family and i think it's great the state is doing that for people that don't have fishing licenses" said Lisa Walton.
Anglers will be allowed to fish without a license until the end of the day tomorrow.
