RALEIGH COUNTY – West Virginia State Police will set up a DUI checkpoint this week in Raleigh County.

Police officials say the checkpoint will be in operation from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 12 a.m. Wednesday along Route 19 in the Mt. Hope and Bradley areas.

The purpose of the checkpoints is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of driving under the influence.

Police officials urge other drivers to assist law enforcement with the prevention of drunk driving by reporting suspicious drivers.
