BEAVER- The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office is also investigating a reported armed robbery.

Deputies said around 4:50 Thursday night, a heavyset white woman entered Galford's Mini Mart on Grandview Road in Beaver. They said she brandished a knife on the clerk and demanded money, and the clerk complied. She left in a white SUV or hatchback type car. According to the clerk, the woman was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and had a covering over her face.

Taylor Coleman was the clerk working at the time and said, “we have regulars in here that like to joke around. Obviously this wasn't a joking situation. How quiet her voice was and just her body language, I didn't think she was serious. Then she decided to reach into her bag and pull out a knife and that's when it got serious. "
