GLEN JEAN - Officers are on the lookout for impaired drivers this weekend in Fayette County.

State police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint at the intersection of WV Route 16 and Scarbro Road in Glen Jean from 8 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers said the purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired drivers and educate the public about the dangers of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs. Motorists are urged to call state police if they see impaired drivers.
