OAK HILL - Its ‘Teacher Appreciation Week’ and Fayette County Schools’ Superintendent wanted to be sure his teachers know just how special they are.

Superintendent Keith Butcher put on a performance with a few Oak Hill High School choral students to send out to teachers. Butcher said this week in May is ‘Teacher Appreciation Week’ and comes at a good time as the stressful part of the school year starts to kick in. The song was discovered by Butcher through YouTube after a previous teacher of his brought it to his attention. The song is called 'You Have Made a Difference' and was originally written and sung by Brian Asselin and Eric Disero. Butcher explained the important job teachers have in the lives of Fayette County's young people.

“Here in Fayette County we believe that were not just teaching students content and curriculum, but were teaching them to be successful in their lives so were preparing the next generation of citizens to lead this country” said Butcher.
