Raleigh Co. Sheriff's Office investigating armed robbery

DANIELS - The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning armed robbery of a local business.

Officers said the incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. at Mignon II in Daniels. They said according to the employee/victim, a man entered the business with his face covered and wearing a dark-colored hoodie, blue jeans and gloves. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk complied and the man left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to officers. Detectives are working with the Lottery Commission and business owners to secure video footage of the robbery. DANIELS - An armed robber allegedly held up a business in Raleigh County early Thursday morning.

Dispatchers said the armed robbery happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday at Mignon on Ritter Drive in Daniels. They said it was reported the suspect had a firearm upon arrival.

The Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.
