Ex-doctor pleas guilty to drug charges

FAYETTEVILLE – A doctor accused of prescribing drugs to patients in exchange for sex pleads guilty to three charges.

Dr. Oscar Gosien, 75, pleads guilty in Fayette County court to three charges of delivering a controlled substance including hydrocodone, oxymorphone, and oxycodone.

In exchange for his guilty plea the state is dropping 53 other drug-related charges.

According to police the incidents with patients occurred as far back as 2007.

Gosien practiced medicine at his office in Oak Hill before it was closed in January 2013.

He is currently on home confinement until his sentencing on June 30. He faces up to 35 years in prison.
