A local lions club is hoping today's ramp dinner will bring in money this afternoon.
The Mount Hope Lions Club ran their second annual ramp dinner after re-starting the event in 2013. They served all the classic entrees included in a ramp dinner including ham, corn bread and potatoes. The dinner was $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Mount Hope Lions Club president Bob Dorado says the dinner is going to become an on-going event.
"The support from the community has been great. I think it's going to be one of those things where people are going to expect it and be waiting for us to do it again and we'll build on this. It'll be an on-going event now."
Money raised from the event goes to Lions Club efforts in the community.
