Golfers hit the green today to support a local cause and help two kids attend college.

He fifth annual Terri's Tribute Golf Tournament held at Bridge Haven Gold Club in Fayetteville. The annual gathering is in honor of Terri Treadway Massey who lost her battle to breast cancer in 2009. Funds raised go toward a scholarship fund for kids who have lost a parent to breast cancer. Organizers say the event honors a very special person by helping deserving students.

"It's a very gratifying moment. Her mother always said when she was going through treatment and fighting breast cancer she said something good will come of this. We're not sure yet what it is, but something good will come of this, so we've picked up the phrase something good, and this definitely was something good."

This year's scholarship winners are Mike Morrison who also received it in 2013 and first time winner Jamie Massey, daughter of the late Terri Massey.
