ATHENS - An alleged sexual assault was under investigation at a university after an incident was reported Tuesday night.
Students at Concord University are being advised to use extra caution as they travel around campus. C call came in Tuesday evening involving a female student who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male student. Concord University police officials said the suspect is male and approximately 6 feet tall. No other details are being released at this time. The university police, as well as the Athens’ police department are still investigating this incident, but said they are amp-ing up safety on campus.
Concord University, Sgt. Terry Moulder said, "we've been more vigilant with letting the students know their safety measures and were also increasing patrols in the roadways and parking lots on campus."
