FAYETTEVILLE – Early voting for the May election is underway in Fayette County and officials urge you to make a difference.
Polling spots in Fayetteville, Montgomery, and Danese will be open now through May 10 for early voting.
Officials remind you there is no need for any special registration and you don't need an excuse to vote early, it's there for your convenience.
If you are registered to vote, you can show up to the polls to cast your ballot. And County Clerk Kelvin Holliday says every vote truly does count.
“We've had several elections that have been one or a relative handful of votes have determined an election. So indeed, every vote does make a difference. We urge people to vote every election, let your voice be heard.”
Weekday voting hours in Fayette County are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
