FAYETTEVILLE – Polling locations are gearing up for the first round of voting across the state.
Here locally, Fayette County polling spots are ready for early voting to start Wednesday at 8 a.m.
Officials remind you there is no need for any special registration. If you are registered to vote, you can show up to the polls to cast your ballot.
County Clerk Kelvin Holliday says despite this being an off-year election there is still plenty of political seats up for grabs.
“Three House of Delegates members that are up every two years; as is the Congress, the U.S. House of Representatives position. We have a state senate seat which is up every single election cycle.”
Holliday highlights the value of the election.
“It's always important to vote every election, every vote counts, do make a difference.”
