Motorcyclist flees deputies, apprehended following high-speed chase

ANSTED - A motorcyclist is in custody Saturday following a high-speed pursuit in Fayette County. 

Robert Allen Hernandez, 25, was arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office after allegedly fleeing in excess of 100 miles an hour. 

Deputies said the chase began on Route-16 North and continued east on Route-60 near Chimney Corner. Hernandez was eventually apprehended at a roadblock in Ansted after nearly 15 minutes of police pursuit. 

He faces charges including speeding, no insurance, passing in a no passing zone, obstructing an officer and felony fleeing with reckless disregard for the safety of others, according to authorities.
