BECKLEY - A Ronceverte man and former prison employee pleaded guilty in federal court in Beckley Thursday to abusive sexual contact with a female federal inmate, according to U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.

Goodwin said Jeffrey S. Walton, 48, admitted that on one occasion in May or June of 2013, he touched an inmate's breasts at the Federal Prison Camp at Alderson. He was acting as the inmate's work supervisor at the Alderson facility at the time of the incident.

Walton faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to Goodwin. His sentencing is scheduled for July 31.
