Board of Governors chooses Boggess as President

ATHENS - The Concord University Board of Governors selects Dr. Kendra Boggess as the University's 12th president.

The decision is contingent upon approval by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission. The action was taken during the Board's Tuesday, April 22, 2014, meeting on the Athens campus.

Dr. Boggess is currently serving as Concord's interim president. She has served in that position since July 1, 2013.Dr. Boggess was one of three finalists for the presidency of Concord following a nationwide search.

The Commission will act on the BOG's recommendation during a meeting scheduled for Friday, April 25 at Fairmont State University. If approved by the Commission, Dr. Boggess will officially become president of Concord University effective July 1, 2014.
