LEWISBURG – Spring is here and farmer's markets are popping up everywhere. The Greenbrier Valley Farmer's Market is preparing to open Saturday in Lewisburg.
More than 25 vendors are expected to set-up by the height of the season.
Plants, flowers, eggs, meat, and plenty more will be for sale by the local growers and farmers.
President of the Market Pam West says it's a unique opportunity for folks in the area to buy food and interact with the individuals who made it.
“We're excited about it, we got many new vendors this year. We've got people who are having maple syrup, and honey, and jams, and jellies, and breads, and baked goods.”
The market will open at 8 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. every Saturday through the summer. You can find it at the green space on the corner of Arbuckle Road and U.S. 219 in downtown Lewisburg.
