Hospitals across the country are preparing for a very important day.
Tomorrow is National Healthcare Decisions Day. The day highlights the importance of making important healthcare decisions in advance. Organizers say they're trying to bring awareness to advance care planning. In Beckley, Vicki Silosky says that West Virginia is ahead of the curve when it comes to advanced planning.
"West Virginia is among the top 10 to 12 in the country who have this supportive legislation where by you can make out the advance directive and have that. And we are among the pioneers for end of life care."
Raleigh General Hospital encourages people to take part in the day which runs from nine am till three pm at the Raleigh General Hospital education center.
