PRINCETON – A shoplifter caught red-handed results in employee injury, and the woman driving the get-away car is facing attempted murder charges.

A trial begins Tuesday in Mercer County court. Dustie Beller, 33, is facing attempted murder charges after a shoplifting gone bad in February of last year.

Police reports say Beller's co-defendant Brian Bailey attempted to steal a chain saw from Tractor Supply in Bluefield.

According to testimony from a Tractor Supply employee on shift the night of the incident, he was caught but took off with the chain saw in hand before throwing it in Beller's Jeep.

He ran away on foot, and Beller sped away after striking an employee.

Beller also faces malicious assault and conspiracy charges.
