FAYETTEVILLE – An upcoming recycling day kicks off a series of spring cleaning events in Fayette County for the month of April.

A free recycling event invites people from everywhere to clean up their homes and drop off unwanted appliances. Town Superintendent of Fayetteville said this is just one way to make a dent in spring cleaning. Any trash, including large appliances, can be dropped off for free at the Fayetteville Town Park April 11 & 12.

Superintendent Bill Lanham said this event and the Electronic Recycling Day next weekend will help keep Fayette County beautiful. β€œIt's important that we protect our environment especially with Easter and earth day coming up were going to have visitors in our community and now spring has arrived and I think anything that we can do to make Fayetteville beautiful and a great place to work and play and live, it just says a lot about our community and the people that live in it,” said Lanham.

The 'Keep Fayetteville Beautiful' event will happen at the Fayetteville Town Park Friday and Saturday from 8-3.
