Arson suspect pleas guilty

BECKLEY – A woman charged with setting an apartment on fire pleads guilty to a felony.

Pamela Nichols, 40, pleads guilty to a felony destruction of property.

According to prosecuting attorney John Gallaher, Nichols was sold what she thought was cocaine in May of last year. Upon learning it was not she returned to the apartment complex in Beckley with a can of gas and lit it on fire.

She pleads guilty to a felony destruction of property while the first-degree arson charge was dropped.

Nichols will be sentenced on June 19. She faces 1 to 10 years in prison.
