FAYETTEVILLE – A Fayette County man is sentenced to 11 to 25 years in prison on charges of sex crimes against a minor.

Brian Hawver, 40, of Victor is sentenced to at least 11 years behind bars after pleading guilty to sexual assault and sexual abuse against a minor.

According to police, Hawver had a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl in 2003. He was also charged with 10 counts of first-degree sexual assault after molesting his daughter. Those charges were dropped in a plea deal.

In addition to the prison sentence Hawver must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, and be under 25 years of supervision upon his release.

Members of Hawver's family and family members of his victims were in court this afternoon separated by the center aisle. They declined to speak to our cameras.
