BLUEFIELD - A regional hospital in Mercer County will be celebrating the opening of its newly remodeled wing.
CEO of Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bill Hawley, said they have invested time and money into remodeling the hospital's Critical Care Unit. April 9th will mark the official opening of that facility, and hospital officials said it is an investment into patient care and comfort.
Bluefield Regional staff members said they welcome community members to the April 9th ‘Open House’ to show off their new facility improvements.
“This is a $5.1 million dollar project… an investment into the community. Our hospital has, over the years, been seeing sicker and sicker patients at our hospital so this is an investment into our facility and technology that will help us take great care of our patients here,” said Hawley.
The ribbon cutting is set for 10 AM, and the open house will follow that evening from 5 to 7 PM.
